NCAP won two events on Night 3 of the 2017 NCSA Junior Nationals in Orlando, Florida. First, 14-year-old Phoebe Bacon went 24.20 and touched first in the Women’s 50 Butterfly. Later, the team of AJ Ross, Jonathan Pollock, Brandon Hamblin and Sam Pomajevich finished out the night with a victory in the Men’s 400 Free Relay in a time of 3:00.13
Will Cumberland and Pomajevich both had top 8 finishes in multiple events. Cumberland touched 5th in the 400 IM and was 7th in the 50 Fly. Pomajevich started off the night for the NCAP men with a 6th place swim in the 200 Free and finished the session by taking 3rd in the 50 Fly. Darren Durocher, Sinead Eksteen and Timothy Wu also placed in the top 8. Durocher was 6th in the 400 IM. Eksteen touched 4th in the 200 Free. Wu finished 7th in the 100 Breast. Eksteen, Jasmine Hellmer, Lea Gwennap and Katie Mack took 5th in the Women’s 400 Free Relay.
After 3 days of racing, NCAP remains in first placed in the Combined, Men’s and Women’s team championships. They have scored 691.5 points on the women’s side and 889.5 points on the men’s side.
