Ledecky’s Record Highlights NCAP’s Night 1 of US Open

NCAP kicked off the winter championship season with the first night of the 2019 Toyota US Open Championships.  Katie Ledecky led the way with a win in the Women’s 800 Meter Freestyle.  Ledecky’s time of 8:14.59 was also good enough for a meet record in the event.

Chase Travis and Paige McKenna joined Ledecky in the top 30 of the Women’s 800.  Travis finished 13th, while McKenna took 21st.  Erika Chen (54th), Catherine Purnell (44th) and Jacob Rosner (65th) also competed in the 800 on night 1.
