Gemmell and Travis Win Medals on Day 5 of World Junior Championships

Erin Gemmell and Chase Travis each won a medal on day 5 of the 2019 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in Budapest, Hungary.  Gemmell won gold as a prelim member of the United States’ Women’s 4×100 Meter Freestyle Relay.  It was her 2nd gold medal of the meet.  Travis won the bronze medal in the Women’s 1500 Meter Freestyle with a time of 16:08.04.

Blake Manoff and Paige McKenna also placed in the top 8 on night 5.  Manoff took 8th in the Men’s 50 Meter Butterfly with a time of 24.01.  McKenna went 16:40.74 and finished 6th in the Women’s 1500 Meter Freestyle.
