Gemmell’s Record Highlights NCAP’s Night 3 of NCSA Age Group Champs

NCAP swimmers won 2 events on night 3 of the 2019 NCSA Age Group Championships in Orlando, Florida.  First, Erin Gemmell was victorious in the Girl’s 13-14 200 Yard Freestyle.  Gemmell’s time of 1:46.19 was good enough for new PVS Resident, NCAP Team and NCSA Meet Records in the event.  The PVS and NCAP Records formerly belonged to Katie Ledecky.  Later in the meet, Ainsley Taylor took first in the Girl’s 11-12 50 Yard Butterfly.

Gemmell was the only NCAP swimmer with multiple top 8 finishes on night 3, as she added a 3rd place finish in the 100 Fly to her record-breaking Freestyle swim.  Maren Conze and Kate Hallmark also competed in the A Final of the Girl’s 13-14 200 Free.  Conze finished 6th, while Hallmark took 8th.  Chase Rabe added a 7th place finish in the Boy’s 10&under 500 Free.

The meet concludes on Saturday.  Click here to follow along with full results and livestreams.
