Ledecky Breaks Meet Record on Night 1 of Pan Pacs

All three NCAP swimmers representing Team USA at the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships in Toyko, Japan competed on the first day of racing.  Katie Ledecky broke the Pan Pac meet record in the Women’s 800 Meter Freestyle.  Ledecky won the race with a time of 8:09.13.  Ledecky also earned a bronze medal in the Women’s 200 Meter Freestyle.  Ledecky has now qualified to represent the United States at the 2019 World Championships in both the 200 and the 800.

Jack Conger and Chase Travis both competed in the prelims session on day 1.  Conger finished 13th in the Men’s 200 Freestyle.  Travis had the 11th fastest time in the Women’s 800 Freestyle.

NCAP alums Andrew Seliskar and Andrew Wilson joined Ledecky in finals on night 1.  Seliskar earned a sliver medal in the Men’s 200 Freestyle.  Wilson finished 4th in the Men’s 100 Breaststroke.  Seliskar and Wilson also qualified for the 2019 World Championships.
