Ledecky Wins 400, Bacon and Conway Break Records on Night 4 of Nationals


NCAP continued to swim well on day 4 of the 2018 USA Swimming Phillips National Championships.  Katie Ledecky won her 3rd race of the week on night 4, when she touched first in the Women’s 400 Meter Freestyle.

Phoebe Bacon and Sean Conway both broke records in the 100 Meter Backstrokes on day 4.  Bacon lowered her own PVS Resident Open-Age, PVS Resident 15-16, and NCAP Team 15-16 Records with a time of 59.12.  Bacon finished 4th in the race at night.  Conway went 57.06 and broke the NCAP Team 17-18 Record.

Two other NCAP swimmers joined Ledecky in the finals of the 400 Free.  Megan Byrnes finished 12th, while Chase Travis came in 23rd.
