NCAP broke 2 PVS Records on night 1 of the 2017 NCSA Summer Junior Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana. NCAP won the first event of the night when Phoebe Bacon, Olivia Masterson, Abby Harter and Katie Mack broke the PVS Open-Age Resident Record in the Women’s 200 Meter Medley Relay with a time of 1:55.74. Later, Mack and Harter combined with Keyla Brown and Maya Fischer to set a new PVS 15-16 Resident Record in the Women’s 200 Meter Freestyle Relay. NCAP came in 2nd in the event.
Mack provided NCAP’s only individual win of the night when she touched first in 100 Freestyle. Four other NCAP women placed in the top 8. Bacon (3rd) and Maddie Heilbrun (7th) both competed in A Final of the 200 Backstroke. Chase Travis finished 2nd in the 800 Freestyle. Harter touched 7th in the 50 Butterfly. For the men, Sean Conway took 4th in the 200 Backstroke and Philip Manoff was 7th in the 50 Butterfly. Conway (Back) and Manoff (Fly) also teamed up with Spencer Rowe (Breast) and AJ Ross (Free) to finish 6th in the 200 Medley Relay.
